Getting Started with your Accra VPS
Welcome to CoLi Link! Your high-performance VPS is hosted in our Accra Flagship Hub, providing the fastest possible speeds for users in Ghana, Nigeria, and South Africa.
Follow these steps to access and secure your new server:
1. Locate Your Login Credentials
Once your order is activated, check your email for the "Welcome to CoLi Link" message. It contains:
- Your Server IP Address
- Username (usually
root for Linux or Administrator for Windows)
- Your temporary Password
2. Accessing Your Server
- For Linux Users: Use an SSH client like PuTTY or your computer's terminal. Type:
ssh root@your_server_ip
- For Windows Users: Use Remote Desktop Connection (RDP). Enter your server IP and use the
Administrator credentials.
3. Manage via the CoLi Link Dashboard
You can manage your server directly from your client area at
hosting.coli.com.gh. From there, you can:
- Power On/Off or Reboot your server.
- Reinstall OS: Change between Ubuntu, CentOS, or Windows.
- Monitor Resources: Track your CPU, RAM, and NVMe disk usage in real-time.
4. Security First
We highly recommend changing your root password immediately after your first login. For Linux users, type the command: passwd
